Around The Courts: Renovations Happening Now!

Welcome back Racquet Club of Cocoa Beach tennis players! Let’s take a look at what’s been happening at RCCB, preview what’s coming up, and share special events, shoutouts, and a coaching tip of the month.

September Recap

September was a strong month for junior tennis at RCCB. We hosted a successful Level 6 Junior Tournament with over 50 participants competing across multiple divisions. The event brought great energy to the courts and showcased the talent of our local and visiting players. We also had the honor of hosting a Tennis Director Workshop, bringing together leaders from across the state to collaborate and share best practices.

On the adult side, our Drills Drill Drills clinic on Friday mornings continues to be a hit. With an average of 10 or more players each week, it’s become our most popular adult session. Thanks to everyone who’s been showing up and bringing the energy.

October Programming Preview

Big changes are coming to RCCB. Starting October 6, the facility will begin a major renovation project. We’ll be replacing six hard courts, installing all-new lighting, and upgrading fencing. These improvements will elevate the playing experience for everyone and position RCCB for long-term success.

While renovations are underway, we’re still offering new junior programming. Beginning this month, we’re launching a Tournament Tough morning clinic on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30–8:00 AM. This session is designed for competitive juniors looking to sharpen their skills before school. We’re also introducing a new clinic for homeschoolers, held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00–11:30 AM.

We’re also excited to welcome Coach Keegan Torrene to the RCCB team. Keegan joins us as a part-time coach and brings great energy and experience to our staff.

Coach’s Tip of the Month

Keep your toss hand and your eyes up when serving. A consistent toss sets up everything else in your motion.

We appreciate your support and patience during the renovation period. We’ll keep you updated on progress and look forward to seeing everyone back on the new courts soon.
