I was born in Cocoa Beach and raised in Merritt Island, FL.  I held a top 50 ranking in Florida for most of my junior career.  After juniors I played for both Carson Newman College and Rollins College.  After college I played some satellites and then quickly realized that my future would be in coaching. I soon started working for IMG Evert Academy where I learned advanced teaching techniques and began working with numerous players that have gone on to play on tour.  After a couple years of the high intensity in academy training I decided that a club professional would be the path for me. I began working as the Head Tennis Pro at Kiwanis Island Tennis Center teaching tennis to all levels.  I then moved to The Raquet Club of Cocoa Beach where I helped build a thriving junior team tennis presence. During these years I also worked for the USTA Florida High Performance camps. I coached Merritt Island Christian for 13 years.  I also held positions in Kiwi Tennis Club and  at Suntree Country Club before becoming director at FishHawk Ranch Tennis club In May of 22.  When we had the opportunity to move back home, we took it.  I am excited to be joining the team at RCCB and I am looking forward to seeing you on the courts!

Brianna started her tennis journey at 5 years old. She achieved rankings in the top 10 in G18s and top 50 in G18s nationally. During that time she started traveling to play ITFs where she saw success getting to the semis and finals of a G3 tournament before heading to Appalachian State (division 1) to play tennis on a full scholarship where she double majored in heath care management and biology. Brianna played between 3-4 in the line up starting her freshman year. Brianna started coaching at 16 working some programs for her coach and continued her coaching career full time after graduating college. Brianna’s passion is making sure any of her players beginner or advanced are seeing improvements every day they play.

Melissa, originally from Wichita, KS, married her Air Force spouse Dean, and their journey together has taken them to Panama, Charleston, SC, and South Florida before settling in Cocoa Beach upon Dean’s retirement from the Air Force. Melissa discovered her passion for tennis after moving to Cocoa Beach in 2009. With her children now attending Florida State University (Go Noles!), Melissa recently decided to combine her love for tennis and her commitment to the community by contributing her off court talents to RCCB. Melissa is an avid USTA and SPCTL player and brings her extensive tennis knowledge to the staff. Melissa recently was awarded USTA Volunteer of the month before joining the staff.
